Urgent Response
When a Tree Comes Down — We're There Fast
Storm-damaged or fallen trees are one of the most common emergency callouts we get across Melbourne's east, particularly during spring storm season (September–November) and the autumn windy period (March–May). When a tree is on your roof, blocking your driveway, or hanging dangerously over a fence — every hour matters.
We provide rapid emergency tree removal across Boroondara, Stonnington, Manningham and surrounding councils. Generally on site within 2–4 hours during business hours, and same-day for most after-hours emergencies during storm season.
When To Call
Situations We Handle
Tree on House or Roof
Fallen or partially fallen trees impacting structures. Highest priority — we coordinate with insurers and prioritise safe extraction.
Tree Across Driveway / Road
Blocking access for vehicles, emergency services, or neighbours. Same-day clearance in most cases.
Hanging or Split Limbs
Large branches that have torn but haven't fully fallen — extremely dangerous. Don't approach. Call immediately.
Lean After Storm
Tree that wasn't leaning before the storm but is now — root plate may be compromised. Urgent assessment required.
Power Line Contact
If a tree is touching power lines, call your electricity distributor first (CitiPower 13 12 80 or United Energy 13 20 99). Then call us once it's safe.
Insurance-Related Removals
We work directly with insurers and prepare the documentation needed for storm damage claims.
What To Do Before We Arrive
- Stay clear — downed trees can be under tension and snap back violently when cut. Don't try to remove anything yourself.
- Keep clear of power lines — assume any line is live until confirmed otherwise.
- Photograph everything from a safe distance before any clean-up starts. Insurers need this.
- Call your insurer early to understand what documentation they need.
- If you can do so safely, move vehicles and valuables away from any unstable trees.
🛡️ Insurance and Storm Damage
Most home insurance policies in Australia don't cover damage from your own tree falling on your own house if the tree was in obvious poor health before the storm. "Obvious poor health" includes major deadwood, visible decay, or previous arborist reports flagging concerns. If you've got concerns about a tree on your property, getting it assessed before storm season is always cheaper than dealing with the aftermath. We provide free pre-storm assessments and can document tree health for your insurance records.
